Description

Short title: Herbert v Owen.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Edward Herbert, kt.

Defendant(s): John Owen Vaughan, Oliver ap David ap R. Gruff ap Reynolde, William ap Evan, Thomas ap Evan ap Badye, John ap Kadwalader, Kadwalader ap Jevan Vaughan, John ap Jevan Lloyd, Reginald Daveis.

Subject of depositions: Lands called Talerthig; whether Talerthig is a manor, and parcel of the late monastery of Stratmercel, or whether the lands are in the lordship of Keveiliog. Touching also the lordship of Arwistley. Touching lands called "Sugthin" lying in Keven-y-llys; others called "Dolwen" alias "Cappell Dolwyn" Eithin-y-llwyn, and Dol-y-Court, in Keven aforesaid; lands in Kyffyn and Estynwynton, in Garthbibio, in Llanvyhangell-y-Gwynva, within the manor of Methen Uchcoidd, in the township of Vachwen, in the parishes of Llanvihangell. Whether parcel of the lordship of Kerenion, in Powis or Keveiliog. Metes and bounds. Customs of manors. [The names of Edward Gray, late lord and owner of the lordship of Powis, and the possessions of Sir Arthur Darcy, Mr Cowper, and Mr Purcell, are mentioned].
