Description

Short title: Fairclough v Flete.

Plaintiff(s): Hugh Fairclough alias Farclowe.

Defendant(s): Edward Flete, Vincent de la Barr.

Subject of depositions: Woods near Petworth, called Ratfalling Wood and Middlecarfe Wood, belonging to defendant Flete, and which he had from the Earl of Northumberland. Touching an extent of the woods, by plaintiff, on a statute and an assignment of woods to Vincent de la Barr and Andreas de Lowe, merchant strangers and creditors of said Flete. [The names of John Houbton, James Godsall, Peter Vandewale, Rowland Tardyffe, Augustine de Beaulieu, Alexander de Coen, Giles Buttley, merchant strangers and also creditors of Flete, are mentioned].

County/place: Sussex.

Date of commission: 28 November 1590.
