Description

Short title: Mownte v Woodward.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Mownte, woodward of the Surrey part of Windsor ForeSt.

Defendant(s): George Woodward, clerk of Her Majesty's honor and castle of Windsor.

Subject of depositions: Custom of the forest of Windsor (particularly that part lying in Surrey). The woodward's fees. Repairs of the houses of Oking and Byfleet, in the forest "Lopping and topping." Alleged waste and spoil. [The names of Owen Bray, John Mount (plaintiff's father), Thomas Hyde, Mr Gwyn, Richard Sawkins, successively woodwards of the Surrey part of said forest; Mr Mitchell, late clerk of Windsor Castle, and the bailiwick in said forest called "Surrey bailiwick" including five parks, namely Guildford Park, Henly Park, Bagshot Park, Byfleet Park, and Woking Park are mentioned].
