Description

Short title: Gorges v Deyes.

Plaintiff(s): Cecilia Gorges, widow.

Defendant(s): Nicholas Deyes.

Subject of depositions: Lands in Kingsland (Herefordshire), parcel of Her Majesty's manor of Kingsland. Repair of mills. Alleged waste and spoil of woods. William Gorges (plaintiff's late husband), and a survey of the mills before the expiration of lease granted by the Crown to Thomas Woodhall alias Woodwall.

County/place: Herefordshire.

Date of commission: 8 July 1590.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 28 August 1590 at the Shirehall.
