Description

Short title: Cary v Twysden.

Plaintiff(s): The Rt Hon Henry Cary, kt, Lord Hunsdon, Lord Chamberlain.

Defendant(s): Roger Twysden.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Wye (Kent), said to have been exchanged by the late Earl of Lincoln with Edward VI for other lands. Touching a lease of the manor by the Earl to Thomas Awchon; whether the lease was made before the exchange. Touching the authenticity and assignment of said lease. Metes and bounds of the "lords' woods" and the "tenants' woods" in the manor. Customs of manor. [Thomas Twisden, clerk, and Richard Barry, late lieutenant of Dover Castle, are mentioned].
