Description

Short title: Withens v Easton.

Plaintiff(s): John Withens, DD, vicar of the parish church of Wantage, Hugh Hyde, farmer, of the parsonage of Wantage.

Defendant(s): Thomas Easton alias Eyston.

Subject of depositions: Parsonage and vicarage of Wanting [Wantage] (belonging to the Dean and Canons of Windsor), and the manor of Bryans, in the parish of Wantage (Berkshire). Tithes. Whether the abbey of Abingdon (Berkshire) ever claimed the tithes.

County/place: Berkshire.

Date of commission: 23 November 1587.
