Description

Short title: Gratwick v Covert.

Plaintiff(s): Roger Gratwick.

Defendant(s): Walter Covert, Edward Carrell.

Subject of depositions: Forest of St Leonard's, and certain iron mills, etc. (Sussex), possessed by William Dix and - Blenerhasset under a Crown lease, and let by them to plaintiff; also touching the disparked parks of Cheeseworth and Seedgwake, alleged interference by servants of defendants with the working of the mines by plaintiff's servants. [Henry Byrchale and Mrs Keneredge are mentioned].

County/place: Sussex.

Date of commission: 18 November 1587.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 21 December 1587 and 4 January 1588 at Horsham.
