Description

Short title: Fitzrandell v Scryven.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Fitzrandell, Christopher Fitzrandell, Thomas Thomson, and others, tenants of Hucknall (Nottingham), Ralph Richardson, Richard Strut, the elder, Richard Strut, the younger, Robert Pigott, Henry Deane, Thomas Richardson, Robert Richardson, Richard Deane, Robert Strut..

Defendant(s): Thomas Scryven.

Subject of depositions: Forty-seven acres and a half of land at Hucknall, otherwise Hucknal Howthwait, in Fullwood (Nottingham), supposed to be assarted out of the forest of Sherwood, parcel of the royal manor of Mansfield Hastings. Customs of manor, etc. A former suit, the Queen (at the relation of the now defendant) v. Edward Langford, of Sutton, gent, is mentioned.

County/place: Nottingham.

Date of commission: 5 July 1587.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 9 August 1587 at Maunsfield, in Sherwood.
