Description

1. Short title: Halliwell v Knight.

Plaintiff(s): Robert Halliwell.

Defendant(s): Archard Knight, John Fisher, Richard Woodward.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Brown Candover (Southampton); whether William, late Marquess of Winchester, Lord Treasurer, granted a rent of £20 out of the manor to plaintiff. Alleged rescue of distresses put into said premises for such rent. [A grant by said Lord Treasurer to plaintiff, of the parsonage of St Botolph without Aldgate, and of the lands of --- Carew (being extended lands), and of the office of searchership of Plymouth and Dartmouth (Devon), to plaintiff, or one Killigree, and of the advowson of the parsonage of Sherfelde (Hampshire), and the office of alnership of Lancaster and Kendal (Westmorland), and of lands in Northumberland, are mentioned. Also debts due by said Lord Treasurer to plaintiff].
