Description

Short title: Styward v Carlton.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Styward, Augustine Styward, Nicholas Styward, lesses of the manor of Wisbiche Barton, belonging to the bishorick of Ely.

Defendant(s): George Carlton, lord of the manor of Coldhames.

Subject of depositions: Wisbiche Marsh. Metes and bounds. Common of pasture. Touching a drain made by defendant to drain his manor of Coldhames. Whether it is hurtful to the manor of Wisbiche Barton.

County/place: Cambridgeshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1586.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 10 January 1587 at Wisbiche, in the Isle of Ely.
