Description

Short title: Bishop of Salisbury v Tychyner.

Plaintiff(s): John Bishop of Salisbury.

Defendant(s): Henry Tychyner, clerk, archdeacon of Dorset.

Subject of depositions: Payment of £20. annually to the Bishop of Salisbury out of or in lieu of the archdeaconry of Dorset, and 10ths payable by said bishops to the Crown. [Doctor Cotterell, sometime archdeacon of Dorset, and John Juell, deceased, late Bishop of Salisbury, are mentioned].

County/place: Wiltshire; Dorset.

Date of commission: 9 February 1586.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 7 April 1586 at Salisbury.
