Description

Short title: Elton v Willoughby.

Plaintiff(s): Percival Elton.

Defendant(s): Sir Francis Willoughby.

Subject of depositions: Lands in Cossall (Nottinghamshire), formerly parcel of the late monastery of Newstead (Nottinghamshire), since in the possession of John Elton (father of plaintiff). Whether the lands were held after the dissolution of the monastery by lease under the Crown. [Sir John Savage and his lands in Ilkeston (Derbyshire) are mentioned].
