Description

Short title: Dodyngton v Chaffyn.

Plaintiff(s): John Dodyngton, Thomas Awbrey, John Sheppard, Leonard Cowley.

Defendant(s): William Chaffyn, the elder.

Subject of depositions: Tithes within the parish of Meere. Custom of tithing within the manors of Meere, Seales, Clevedon, and Seales Aylesbury.

County/place: Wiltshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1584.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 14 January 1585 at Meere.
