Plaintiff(s): George Earl of Cumberland.
Defendant(s): Simon Doddesworthe and Rowland Fothergill, tenants of Settrington, and John Cawson and others, tenants of Norton.
Subject of depositions: Lordships of Welham and Sutton, and Settrington and Norton. George Earl of Cumberland, and John Conyers are lords of the these manors. Waste ground, called Sutton Moor. Surveys of said manors. Sutton Moor, Dynmore, Swynholme, and Coltman Lees, and a flatte called Gledmore Flatte, under Gledmore Howe otherwise Norton Howe.
County/place: Yorkshire.
Date of commission: 7 July 1584.
Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 22 September 1584 at Malton.
