Description

Short title: Smithe v Parett.

Plaintiff(s): Clement Smithe.

Defendant(s): John Parett, William Cooke.

Subject of depositions: Common called Fairewood Common, in the hamlet of Chatley, in the parish of Nuchelees, manor of Mowsham alias Mulsham, in Much Leighes; whether Robert Lord Rich was lord of the manor. Concerning rights of common, and the survey of said common and manor, Mr Smith, of Cressinge Temple, and Garret, his bayly, of the half hundred of Witham, had the waives and strays.

County/place: Essex.

Date of commission: 1 June 1584.
