Description

Short title: Queen v Todd.

Plaintiff(s): The Queen.

Defendant(s): Matthew Todd, Edmund Todd, John Shepperd, the younger, Robert Shepperd, Gilbert Shepperde, John Shepperde, sen. Maryan Luckbarrow, widow, Robert Mychell, Richard Cowper, Marian Shepperde, Mabille Nycholson, Randall Beneson, Nicholas Whithed, John Potter,Gilbert Gilpinge, John Gilpinge, and Eden Gilpinge.

Subject of depositions: Moor and waste ground in the manor of Kendall, called Sadgill Moor, in the parish of Kirkeby Kendall, late parcel of the possessions of the Marquis of Northampton. Right of common of pasture between inhabitants of Sadgill, Stockdale, and Sleddall.

County/place: Westmorland.

Date of commission: 18 June 1580.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 24 September 1580 at Kirkby Kendall.
