Description

Short title: Queen v Cleypole.

Plaintiff(s): The Queen, William Atkynson, John Gunne.

Defendant(s): James Cleypole.

Subject of depositions: Bank by the water of Wayland, leading from Depyng to Crowland Hurne, parcel of the Queen's manor of East and West Deping, and (toll) bars across the same, one at Waldrom Hall, second at the Crosse, in the Eaye, third at Crowland Hurne, belonging to the Crown, and the toll levied. Inhabitants of the towns of Depyng, Uffyngton, Tallyngton, Barholmestoo, Gretford, paid no toll as is asserted.

County/place: Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 9 May 1580.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 1 June 1580 at Deping.
