Defendant(s): William Seymer, vicar of Sturton.
Subject of depositions: Tithes of the parish of Sturton, and lands belonging to the vicarage; 1st, Sir Thomas Willingham (about 1503) was the vicar, and then 2nd, Sir Robert Chapman, 3rd, Sir William Lorde, 4th, a Frenchman, 5th, Sir Richard Jonson, all of whom enjoyed one close called Swanne Garthe, and pasture land specified, in Sturton; Abbey of Tuppon; (Tupholm) paid tithes to Sturton.
County/place: Lincolnshire.
Date of commission: 15 October 1579.
Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 29 October 1579 at Frystrop.
