Description

Short title: Cotton v Cook.

Plaintiff(s): William Cotton, Her Majesty farmer of the mills of Mauncefeld, in Sherwood.

Defendant(s): Henry Cook, Henry Dorrell, William Wylde, Nicholas Somersall, Henry Robynson, Robert Barlowe, John Cherston, Edward Sutlyf, tenants of Mancefeld, in Sherwood.

Subject of depositions: Water mill situated between the nether dam of the Queen's mills of the manor of Mauncefeld, and the upper dam of the Queen's mills, and to the injury of the Queen's mills.

County/place: Nottingham.

Date of commission: 18 June 1578.

Additional information: depositions taken 26 September 1578 at Mannsfyld.
