Description

Short title: Layke v Gascoigne.

Plaintiff(s): John Layke.

Defendant(s): Francis Gascoigne.

Subject of depositions: Queen's mills of Harwoode, and whether Gawgthorpe Hall or Gawthroppe Hall is a manor or not, or part of the manor of Harwoode, and what part was granted to Bolton Abbey. The inhabitants of Harwood, Keswicke, Hirbye, Werdley, Wetton, used to grind corn at Harwood Mills.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 4 June 1576.
