Description

Short title: Queen v Chatterton.

Plaintiff(s): The Queen, on the suggestion of John Jones.

Defendant(s): William Chatterton, William Hamlyn, Robert Woodcock, Margaret Woodcock, William Baynbrick, David Sarney, Richard Gybbes, John Rolles alias Passio Christ.

Subject of depositions: Possessions of John Baynbrick, John Thymbleby, Christopher Dysmers, and lease of premises late in the possession of John Baynbrick, who was supposed to have been committed for felony. Whether the lease was assigned to Thymbleby and Dysmes by Baynbrick.

County/place: Wiltshire.

Date of commission: 16 May 1575.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 11 June 1575 at Chippenham.
