Description

Transcripts from the Bibliothèque Nationale Two charters of Richard I, dated in 1189; three documents relative to money paid by Philip King of France to David King of Scotland, dated in 1340 and 1341; two documents, dated in 1378 and 1419; and a large series of documents relative to the English Government in France, and other affairs, under Henry VI, from 1423 to 1450; an acquittance by Queen Margaret, widow of Henry VI, for the pension paid to her by the French King, dated 12 Feb 1481, with a facsimile of her signature; and six documents relative to a secret treaty between Charles II and Louis XIV in 1670. 159 docts.

Each document is in a separate wrapper (except the last six, which are together), inscribed with a full account of its purport in French.
