Description

Nineteen playing cards, with the only court card being a king of diamonds, Paris pattern; most have a patterned back; overwritten with promissory notes, probably to be exchanged for provisions for the ship La Jeune Marguerite (master unknown). Extracted from HCA 30/380, which may contain other papers from the same ship.
