Appellant: Owners of the screw steamship Velasquez. Respondent: George Rowland Briggs of 31 Great St Helen's, George Maule of 9 Fenchurch St, merchant, both of the City of London, owners of the barque Star of Ceylon and part of her cargo, and her master and crew. Subject: Collision between said vessels on 11 Oct 1866. Lower Court: High Court of Admiralty of England.
