Appellant: James Jenkinson Bibby, Frederick Chapple, William Miles Moss and John Taylor Cross, all of Liverpool, merchants, owners of the screw steamship Meander. Respondent: Robert Girwin of Liverpool, merchant, James Gales, master mariner, and William Read, gent, both of Littlehampton, Sussex, owners of the ship Florence Nightingale. Subject: Collision between said vessels on 22 Feb 1862. Lower Court: High Court of Admiralty of England.
