Appellant: Francis R Cope and Thomas P Cope, both of Philadelphia, USA, owners of the ship Tuscarora. Respondent: John Doherty, William Titherington, James Johnson McAndrew, John Marriot and John Tomlinson, all of Liverpool, owners or consignees of the cargo aboard the ship Andrew Foster. Subject: Collision between said vessels on 28 Apr 1857. Lower Court: High Court of Admiralty of England.
