Appellant: Thomas Chilton, sole owner of the barque Evening Star. Respondent: William Roberts, John Clowes, Samuel Barber, Sir Edmund Lacon and company, Henry Utting Culley, Henry Duff and company, Christopher Sadler, Miles Bloomfield, Samuel Warren, andthe master and crew of the late schooner Moriah. Subject: Collision between said vessels on 9 Mar 1844. Lower Court: High Court of Admiralty of England.
