Letters are from Foreign Office or Lord John's private residence, Pembroke Lodge, Richmond Park, unless otherwise stated. emperor = Napoleon III empress = Eugenie. Note. The Embassy in Paris correspondence of 1865 has been bound in inverse order. Folio numbering is therefore in inverse order but the list is given in chronological sequence
