Politics and government: Jewish Disabilities and David Salomon's unsuccessful attempt to take his seat: legal questions and definitions; question of abjuration of oath; Archbishopof Canterbury feels "worse inclined towards the Jewish cause than ever" (fs. 259-60). Board of Health: question of intramural burial. Exchequer appointments. Post Office: question of transport of mails to the pottery towns. Financing of Covent Garden improvements. Royal Academy of Arts: question of accommodation for a school of design. Correspondence: Lords Campbell, Monteagle, Clanricarde; Archbishop of Canterbury; Sir C. Wood; J. G. Phillimore; David Salomon; C. S. Lefevre; Bishop of London; Sir C. Eastlake and others. Legal: question of appointment of judges by statute. Chancery court legislation and reform.
