Suppression of slavery: W. Hutt's motion to reduce the African squadron opposed by J.R; question of Spain and Brazil; naval views. Correspondence: J.R; Sir C. Wood; Lords Palmerston, Minto; J. E. Denison; Thomas Roscoe; Sir F. Baring; Capt. Dudley Pelham. Extracts from Lord Hatherton's journal describing a visit to Sir Robert Peel's home and recording his views on men and affairs (fs. 147-56). Agriculture: price of corn.
