Description

Order to the archbishop of Canterbury and the bishop of Ely to collect the subsidy of 100,000 florins granted to the Roman church by the prelates and ecclesiastical persons of England, which the pope has assigned to Edward [III.] in part payment of the larger sum which John [II.] king of France is bound to pay to him at Easter next. Debitum equitatis . . . Avignon. Kal. Apr., 10 Innocent VI.
