Request to Edward [III.] to take back into his favour Guy de Brien, knight, whom the king suspects of having interceded with the pope, while at the apostolic see as the king's envoy, for the translation of the late Reynald [de Brien,] bishop of Worcester, his brother, to the see of Ely, the pope assuring the king that the provision of the church of Ely to the said Reynald was made solely with the advice of the cardinals and, as they thought, to please the king.
