Request to Edward [III.] to prorogue the truce between himself and Philip [VI.] king of France for one year from the coming Christmas, and also to send envoys with fuller powers to conclude a peace; with exhortation to him to observe strictly the articles of the truce. The pope sends master Andrew de Offorde, the king's envoy, to speak to him about these and other matters, especially the novelties of which he has heard, directed in England against persons provided by the apostolic see.
