Order from Ottobon, cardinal deacon of St. Adrian and papal legate, to master Edward de la Knolle, dean of Wells, and master Thomas de Bytton, precentor of Wells, to collect from the diocese of Bath and Wells the tenth for three years of all ecclesiastical revenues (save those of cardinals), which Clement IV. by his letters dated 9 Jun., 1266, recited herein [Order to O[ttobon], cardinal deacon of St. Adrian and papal legate, to cause to be collected for the use of the king of England a tenth of all ecclesiastical revenues (save those of the houses of St. Clare) in England, Wales and Ireland for a period of three years.
