Printed enclosures to despatch of 28 May from Edward Hay re Jesuits: Collecção dos Breves Pontificios, e Leys Regias... (and supplement) (No imprint); Erros Impios, e Sediciosos, que os Religiosos... (Lisbon, Miguel Rodrigues); Peticão de Recursodo Procurador da Coroa a S Magestade Fidelissima... (Lisbon, Miguel Rodrigues, 1765); Diploma de S Magestade Fidelissima... (Lisbon, Miguel Rodrigues, 1765). All these printed papers relating to the suppression of the Society of Jesus in Portugal and its empire were printed and published by order of the Portuguese Crown in 1759-65. They were forwarded by E. Hay from Lisbon and/or sent through Martinho de Mello e Castro, the Portuguese Envoy at London, and bound up together in this codex, which is labelled on the spine: Portugal: 1765. Jesuits.
