Notification by the magistrates of Cologne to Edward IV. of the circumstances which led to the abandonment of the Diet between the English commissioners and the Hanse towns which was to have been held on 24 June last; viz. (1) a plague at Hamburg; (2) dissensions between Dantzig and Livonia and the Master of the Teutonic order; and (3) a rebellion in Sweden. Included as evidence of the above facts are letters from Hamburg and Lübeck to the magistrates of Cologne and minutes of a consultation held at Wesel.
