Notarial instrument setting for the proceedings at a meeting of the English and Flemish commissioners at Calais. The commissioners agree to accept as a basis of negotiation a provisional agreement, dated 7 March, 1403, which provides (1) for the adjournment of the business from that date till 1 July, 1403, in order to collect evidence; (2) that the Flemish merchants are not to include French goods in any valuation for damages sent in by them; and (3) that meanwhile Flemish merchants may trade freely in England and vice versa.
