Sinking and salvaging of Sunderland B/204 flying boat in Skerjafjordhur, Iceland.
1) Photograph No 2. Aerial view of coast around Pingvellor. 'Pingvellor has 3-mile square area of deep water and good anchorages, about 40 miles from Reykjavik'.
2) Photograph No 5. View of front of Sunderland. 'Shewing seat of fire - Salvaging B/204'.
3) Photograph No 7. 'Sunderland B/204 being salvaged, Skerjefjorden. Iceland'. View shows front end of Sunderland being towed towards end of salvage vessel.
4) Photograph No 8. 'The last of B/204'. View of ship, ablaze, sinking below surface.
5) Photograph No 9. 'Oil burning on the water after B/204 had burnt out and sunk. The fire lasted in all about 7 minutes. Skerjefjorden. Iceland'.
6) Photograph No 10. 'B/204 being salvaged, Skerjefjorden. Iceland'. View shows front of Sunderland being hauled on to end of salvage vessel.
