Description

Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and individuals on subjects concerning British Honduras. Correspondents and subjects are as follows: Offices:

  • Admiralty (trigonometrical survey by HMS Mutine);
  • Crown Agents (loan, H H Mymms and his application for a silk grass concession, disability pension of J A Sabido, issue of loan);
  • Foreign Office (ill-treatment of Captain Victor Gavilan of the British Schooner Maria Teresa, 'Between Two Continents' by HRH Prince of Sweden and letter of complain from S Wolffsohn, charges for visas);
  • Medical Adviser (F F P Smartt);
  • Board of Trade (liquor smuggling into the United States);
  • War Office (civil disturbances in British Honduras and Trinidad in 1919 and the cost of troops employed).

  • Seaman's Hospital (expedition to British Honduras);
  • Colonial Office (F F P Smartt, visit of Colonial Office official to British Honduras, J N Oliphant appointment);
