Description

Correspondence, Original - Secretary of State: Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) on subjects concerning British Honduras. Correspondents and subjects are as follows: Offices:

  • Crown Agents (oil rights of Mr D Elliott Alves, railway, Ordnance 28 of 1921 refers to the Treasury, the late Mr J L Smyth, Scottish American Company British status, public buildings at Belize, Ordnance 29 of 1922 the loan amendment);
  • Foreign Office (Telegraph Convention with Mexico, sale of arms by British Honduras to Central American Republics, visa requirements for British Honduras);
  • Home Office (H E Oswald and the revocation of naturalisation certificate, William Henry Hoar and his superannuation);
  • Medical Advisers (the health of Mr Iguacio Alejandro Salido, Dr T W F Gann);
  • Board of Trade (coastal and river trade - passenger vessels draft ordnance 1921);
  • Treasury (Guatemala boundary, reciprocal income tax with the United States of America, the cost to despatch of British troops to Belize, retirement and pension of W H Hoar, civil disturbances in 1919 and the cost of troops, loan for the water supply and the guarantee of the British Government).
