Description

Correspondence, Original - Secretary of State: Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and individuals on subjects concerning British Honduras. Correspondents and subjects are as follows: Offices:

  • Admiralty (Mr S A Cuthbert and his withdrawal from the Royal Naval College, stores for wireless telegraph station at Belize - plans enclosed);
  • Crown Agents (oil concessions, topographical draughtsman Mr G A Elliott, Sinking Fund 1923, Culloden Consolidated Company Limited report and accounts for 1920, death of Mrs Sabido, Stann Creek railway, redemption of British Honduras 4% bonds, British Honduras postage stamps, application by Mr L H Ower for post as Government Geologist, pension of Sir Bickham Escott, Belize improvement loan, prospecting licence for Scottish American Oil and Transport Company);
  • Foreign Office (national status of H E and F Oswald, Guatemalan boundary, extradition of Pedro Calderon, incident on the Guatemalan frontier, centenary celebration of political emancipation of Central America, market prices of colonial produce, immigration to British Honduras, national certificate of H E Oswald, legislation regarding the Chinese and Japanese in Central America, revocation of national certificate for H E Oswald, facilities for L H Ower);
  • Home Office (post of Chief Warder for Belize Prison, certificate of naturalisation for Mr A Papadopolo, Mr H Bawdedge embarkation for British Honduras);
