Correspondence, Original - Secretary of State: Letters from various offices [government departments and other organizations] and individuals on matters related to British Honduras [Belize]. Correspondents and subjects are as follows: Offices:

  • Admiralty (defence of the colony, mahogany contracts for 1917, export duty on mahogany and cedar, mahogany cutting on land of H J Cramer, establishment of a sawmill at Belize, P S Berry's employment at the wireless telegraph station, armoured motor launch, transfer of San Carlos to British flag, report of the local director of Admiralty contracts);
  • Crown Agents (Honduras Trading Company, purchase of Riversdale Estate from C Denny);
  • Foreign Office (Guatemala earthquake, boundary between British Honduras and Mexico, detention of British subject Ernest Castillo in Mexico, Guatemala 1916 frontier incident, situation in Mexico, Mexican consul general in Cuba, supply of cohune nuts for the US War Department, San Carlos, treaties with Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua);
  • Home Office (National Fire Brigades Union);
