Correspondence, Original - Secretary of State: Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and individuals on subjects concerning British Honduras. Correspondents and subjects are as follows: Offices:

  • House of Commons (troops, constabulary, and telegraph communications, withdrawal of troops);
  • Admiralty (riot at Belize, disturbances, state of affairs, Santa Cruz Indians, HMS Tartar, war vessel at Belize);
  • Crown Agents (demonetised coin, Belize Improvement Loan 1885 and sinking fund, railway construction, Imperial Institute, bank notes, postage stamps for sale, Panama straw hat, reports on vital statistics and public health, railway survey, Stann Creek to western frontier, clay sample, mail service, W H King agreement as Mounted Sergeant of the Constabulary, Imperial Institute, railway survey, account of colony);
  • Board of Trade (light at Bokel Cay);
  • Treasury (riots at Belize, police and pensionable service, troops and the colonial allowance, government note issue currency);
