Letters from various government offices (departments), other organisations and individuals most of which relate to the despatches sent from the governor in CO 123/126, CO 123/127, CO 123/128, CO 123/129, and CO 123/130. Correspondents and subjects covered are as follows: Offices:

  • Admiralty (act for providing and maintaining a steamship; troops from Jamaica; 'disturbances' in Honduras - 'Indians'; appointment of Philip E Hawkin as Colonial Secretary of British Honduras; account of expenses incurred through entertainment on board the ship Doris; passage for Mr Longden and his family; money due to commander of ship Barracouta; Captain R W B Hunt, Royal Marines, conferred the command of the local militia);
  • Council Office (Order in Council);
