These documents (PRO 30/26/113/1 - PRO 30/26/113/12) formed part of the papers of Henry Pelham, Treasurer of the Chamber from 1720, Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1743 and are returns prepared presumably for him or the Duke of Newcastle. They were presented to the Public Record Office, through the intermediary of the British Records Association by Messrs. Farrer & Co. Solicitors, 66 Lincoln's Inn Fields, W.C.2 in September 1942.
