Contains material which would otherwise be found amongst the Records of the Board of General Officers and records relating to soldiers' clothing (WO).
1 vol.On page 1 is entered the royal warrant of 18 February 1695, which called this meeting of the Chief Officers of the Army in the great Chamber of the Horse Guards, Whitehall, into existence. The title, "Board of General Officers", is taken from the lettering of this volume. Some folios have been removed at the end. These documents PRO 30/26/87 and 88) were deposited by Messrs. May, May & Deacon, solicitors, of 49, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2 in March 1935. Their provenance is not known.
