Wales, General.: Appointments of Sheriffs for the 12 counties of Wales, normally containing a set of four documents for each Sheriff: (1) The appointment of commissioners to take the oath of A.B. Sheriff of C.; (2) The Sheriff's oath; (3) The declarationof the Sovereign's Supremacy; (4) Recognisance for due performance of his office (with draft of same). and (5) List of counties with names of Sheriffs and commissioners, these disappear in the later files.
