Description

Cause: (Re Companies Winding-Up Acts 1848 and 1849 and) Re Monmouthshire and Glamorganshire Banking Company (Part 13 of 17). Documents deposited [25 February 1878] by William Bardley Watkins, Official Manager of Company, pursuant to order, which directs destruction of remaining books and papers of Company:- Deeds and securities of debtors or depositors named below and numbered as in schedule (missing numbers represent items which appear in fact never to have been deposited or which have not been selected for preservation). (N.B. Attached to schedule is correspondence of 1887 with solicitors of Reginal James Blewitt about inspection of deed).

  • (1) John Anneley Assignment of policy of insurance on life of John Anneley of Pillgwenlli in St. Woolos, MONMOUTHSHIRE, coal merchant. Dated 1834.
  • (2) John Anneley Bill of sale by way of mortgage of ship WILLIAM and shares in ships SYBYL and SWAYNE. Dated 1834.
  • (3) John Anneley life insurance policy. Dated 1834.
  • (4), (4A)-(4E) John Anneley Assignment of life insurance policy etc and related papers. (Note: numbers 1-4E in one packet). Dated 1835-1849.
  • (5), (8) Messrs Jevons, Arthur, Wood and Company Papers relating to deposit of deeds of lease of coal and iron mines in Neath, Glyncorwg, Llantwit juxta Neath and manor of Resolven. GLAMORGAN. (Note: numbers 5-8 in one packet). Dated (5) and (8) 1840-1849.
  • (6), (7) John Arthur and Company Papers relating to affairs of John and David Arthur, coal and culm merchants, of Neath, GLAMORGAN. Dated (6) and (7) 1838.
  • (10) Rev A. M. Baldaconni Fire insurance policy in respect of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church at Stow Hill, Newport, MONMOUTHSHIRE. Dated 1846.
  • (12) Joseph Beaumont Memorandum of agreement for hire of trains by Joseph Beaumont to William and Robert Thomas of Pillgwenlli, MONMOUTHSHIRE, coal merchants. Dated 1842.
  • (13) Joseph Beaumont Deed of Joseph Beaumont assigning as security for advance of £500 his interest on Cwm Celyn and Blaina Ironworks in Aberystruth, MONMOUTHSHIRE. and policy of insurance on his life. Dated 1845.
