Description

Cause: (Re Barber, (Everington v Barber (1890 B.4284) (Part 1 of 2). Cause concerning estate of George Gompertz Barber, deceased, Deeds, accounts and papers (some in FRENCH), being securities held by Frederick Whinney, Receiver in cause, including:- probates of wills of Rev Thomas Price of Merriott, SOMERSET. (1832), Edward Lumley Wilson of Taunton, SOMERSET. (1850), William Robinson Matthews of St. Helier, JERSEY (1857) and Rev William Tiverton Preedy, Rector of Kittesford, SOMERSET. (1862); original wills of Henry White (1840), Priscilla Kingsford of Canterbury, KENT (1838) and Catherine Everington, widow (1876); copy will of William Everington of Herne Hill, SURREY administration of Charles Sims of Harlow, ESSEX (1849); title deeds etc. of property in Paddington, Pimlico etc, MIDDLESEX. Orpington, KENT, Kittesford, SOMERSET, Crondall, HANTS and Brighton, SUSSEX; papers concerning business of S.N. Barber and Son, Cowper's Court, Cornhill, LONDON [stock brokers]; numerous certificates of holdings in mining, railway and industrial shares and Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, and foreign, and colonial government stocks; papers concerning claim of Miss Sophia Dumerque on Baron Méchin of Paris, FRANCE; plaintiffs being Catherine Everington, widow, since deceased, for herself and all other creditors of Barber, and Edward Rowe Everington and Edward Francis Bigg, and defendant Agnes Barber, widow. Deposited (i) 1 June 1894 and (ii) 26 October 1894 by Receiver.
