Description

Cause: Leslie v Cave (1884 L.3312) (Part 3 of 4). Deeds and papers relating to Hassop estate in Bakewell, Tideswell, Hope and elsewhere, DERBYSHIRE, of Charles Stephen Leslie, formerly of Earls of Newburgh, and claim thereto by defendant Gladwyn Cleve Cave (with references also to property in Upper Brook Street and St. Giles in the Fields, MIDDLESEX) including:- probate of will of Thomas Creswell of Tideswell (1656); extract wills of Thomas Eyre (1788), 7th Earl of Newburgh (1833) and 8th Earl of Newburgh (1852); draft wills of Ann Shaw, widow, of Hassop (1833), Robert Johnson of Bakewell (1834) and Ebenezer Eyre of Bakewell (1849); plans of Chesterfield to Hernstone Lane Head turnpike, DERBYSHIRE, Warkworth Castle estate, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, and Warkworth Harbour, NORTHUMBERLAND; prints - Peak Forest Canal Act 1794, Enclosure Acts for Bakewell (1793) and Hope (1806) and 'Observations upon the Act for the Redemption of the Land Tax [38 Geo. III' (6th edition) and particulars of sale etc; papers relating to business of Messrs Mander, solictors, of Bakewell; pedigrees of Eyre and related families; deed (1392) relating to Wallingfen causeway [in Howden etc.], YORKSHIRE; plaintiffs being Charles Stephen Leslie, Simon, Baron Lovat, Philip John Canning Howard, George Matthews Arnold and Frederick Anthony Trevor. Deposited by defendant 23 December 1886.
